Wim showed me the thumb-grips \u2013 that way you have an extra finger and you can grab wider chords \u2013 it cost me a year of pain in my thumb!\u2019 Van Iterson still plays one of Wim Overgaauw\u2019s old Gibson\u2019s (an ES-125). \u2018There were a lot of guitars hanging on the wall at his place. I picked this one because it felt the best; then he said \u2018take it with you, I\u2019ll have it back some day\u2019\u2019. A year and a half later, Wim Overgaauw died.
